good news!

Engagement photos are up! Check them out here! Thanks Lindsay! It was a great day!!!! Let me know what you think!

Weekend.

I'm all tuckered out. Sweet J left this morning after taking me to breakfast at IHOP; sad, sad, sad. But, I did get french toast in the shape of a football so that was pretty cool, not because I am a huge football fan but because food in the shape of anything is always fun. This weekend we have been down to good ole' LA (lower Arkansas) and finished up our registry. Talk about fun! I can't wait to drink out of our juice and tumblers in our little home. On Sunday we had a shoot with Lindsey (our photographer) and what fun that was! I'll post when a sneak peak is up, she said it would be a couple of days, but I can't wait to see how our pics came out! Yay!
Well the month of August will be coming to close in about 3 1/2 hours so here is my September list!
To Do:
10.Continue to work on getting my time down to 30 minutes, a lot harder than I thought it would be.

And we are off...

A really quick post today, I am running around trying to get everything done so I can get in bed early. Why you might ask? I am starting my final semester of college tomorrow! Whoo hoo! Can you believe it? I can't...I literally cannot believe I have been in college for 4 and half years and will be getting my degree in Public Relations/Strategic Communications with minors in Studio Art and Business in December....Lord willing. The woes of UALR can be quite deafening, so let us all hope that everything will work out. According to my advisor, I am.
So, today I got paid and I have been saving most of money for J's ring and I want to get him a totally awesome wedding gift...he deserves it, but today, I splurged a little on myself.

1. Pushing Daisies Season 2 on DVD. I couldn't help myself when I saw it, it was a must have. Pushing Daisies was cancelled, but it was the most brilliantly funny show on TV for the past two years, next to The Office. It raked in the Emmy's to prove it!

2. Burt's Bees Deep Conditioning 2 Minute Repair. This was a NEED, my hair is in really bad shape right now...bad shape.

This weekend I am heading to Josh and his parent's in Kirksville, MO. Please pray for safe travels, ever since my wreck I'm a little nervous making the drive! Guys I hope everyone is having a good week getting back into the groove of things! If you're not busy on Thursday night at 7 swing by BCM on UALR's campus, it's our kick off night!

Sam and Ruby

Today J sent me a little present, I know what you guys are thinking...peppermint sticks, Coraline, a ring, what else could he get you? Well, my sweet fiance always finds something...I am so blessed with a boy that loves to surprise me as much as I love being surprised. Well today J called:

Me:Hello?
J:If I were Kelsey Scroggins I would check my email.
Me:What did you do?
J: Check your email...

After my slow poke Internet finally loaded this is what I found.

You know what makes this present even more exciting, I had never heard of these artists. Josh thought I would like it so he wanted to indulge my love for finding underground folk music and help me celebrate and obsess over a new album...mission accomplished. I have listened to the CD all the way through once and here are my favorite songs so far: The Suitcase Song and Ain't Love Something, sadly I can't find them on the Internet, but maybe you can and if you do check them out!

Thank you so much for your sweet gift J! I love you! You guys have a good one!

Weekend Round-Up

This weekend was a whirl wind! J and I registered at Target, Wal-Mart, and Home Depot this weekend. We had a blast picking out stuff for our future home and deciding on colors...which is when we realized we are pretty plain and stick mainly to Earth tones being the hippies that we are. Here is a math problem for ya:
Registering + Exhaustion = Hard
J and I were pretty tired through out the whole process. At Target we were the glowing couple to be, holding hands, and skipping down the rows...by Wal-Mart (Which was an experience in itself) we were dragging. But, we made it through! Sweet J left today but he left me with a little gift, he's so sweet.

Some peppermint sticks! Yummy! We ate lunch at Cracker Barrel today and while we were checking out J told me to go look for him a book on CD. After checking out, I explained to him that there was nothing good to listen to. Then he explained that was never his plan. Sligh dog.

Well, I have been looking for a new bedside lamp. The one I had was blinding, it was hard to read with and go to sleep. Well folks I have found the coolest new lamp on the planet. Not only is a lamp...it's an oil lamp, warming "Grandma's Cookies" oil everyday. Nice!

Pretty Cool.

Today I ran to NLR to get my ring cleaned, then I came back down to my hood for some grocery shopping. I made a quick trip to Whole Foods and found this cool little guy.

This is a pretty interesting water bottle, don't ya think? What did you guys do this weekend?

Here's a song, have a good one!

Issues...

I'm having issues with my blog, hopefully I can post tomorrow! Are any of you guys having issues?

Assignment #4

Well, yesterday I was having issues with my blog and it is still happening, but I thought I would give it a try. So here it is...my graphic design project. I made a 94...wahoo! I'm so excited! Here is my work, see any resemblance?

Step 1: This was my sketch, sorry it's hard to make out...but, hopefully you can make out me? If you remember from my post a few days ago I had to sketch my self portrait ( I chose my profile).

Step 2: Upload this sketch onto they computer by scanning and then bring it into Adobe Illustrator to begin forming my self portrait made from typography.

And behold...my final project. I think it turned out well, I really enjoyed this project, it was hard work and really challenged me in my Graphic Design skills. What do you guys think? Can you guys tell it's me?

Well I hope you guys have a great rest of the evening! I am off to finish watching "10 Things I Hate About You" and try to get some studying done! Well I always try to leave you with a song, so here is one I have been humming today...during work...at work...all day basically! Plus, the video is super cool. Have a good one!

Should've stuck with the rolls.

Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of posts last week, it was hectic one. We had an insane project in Graphic Design, insane. We had to draw our self portrait (I opted to do my profile) and then scan it into PhotoShop then recreate it in Adobe Illustrator using strictly typography. So basically, I scanned my portrait into PhotoShop then I brought the picture into another program, then on top of my portrait I recreated it using letters, numbers, and symbols; finally I removed the hand drawn portrait to reveal my final work. Hopefully tomorrow I can post my work so you guys can let me know what you think!

This weekend I went to see J...hooray! It was a great weekend! J always gets me a little something when I go and see him. Well, this time he went above and beyond...J took me out to eat 4 times and bought me the best surprise!

Yes! It's Coraline! (Click here to see the trailer) J and I went and saw this on Valentine's Day and I LOVED it! It came with 3D glasses too...I mean, how can you beat that? I'll explain the Almond Joy's later.

On Saturday, J played in the Show-Me State games, he thought he did bad, I thought he was amazing. Well...tomato...tomato...Sorry for the weird shot, I had to set the camera on my knee because I zoomed in so far and if I jumped, the picture would blur, so this is what you get.

That night J and I went out for Sushi. Ok. I LOVE sushi, but this batch didn't seem to sit with me so well.

Ok so here is the story, I usually stick to rolls, (California Rolls, Spicy Tuna Rolls, etc.) but this time we decided to go big or go home. I should have gone home. The 3 peices on the top of the bridge were just too much for me, I think the overwhelming amount of raw fish that I consumed that night effected me the next morning. The toilet was my friend for about thrity minutes and I spent the rest of the day laying around. I missed both of J's games, I was mega bummed. But, to cheer me up he made Tomato soup and grilled cheese for dinner and let me have a couple of the Almond Joy's he bought me for surprise! So sweet!

Oh, how the mighty have fallin.

I hope you guys had a great weekend, I did. Tomorrow I hope to post my work from Graphic Design last week. Maybe I'll do a poll to see how many people actually think it looks like me. Maybe...Well, here is a song I have been humming/singing since I got home. Have a good evening! Yay! My taquitos and tots are ready! Hooray! Btw, I had serious problems posting this blog, has anyone else had any issues?
