Can you believe it?

Today, yes today, is my last day of classes! Can you believe it? I am on my way to my last semester of higher education (on the bachelor level)! It so exciting! But, unlike many of my friends (Josh) I don't get to have a fun summer of wedding planning and searching for cool home ideas. I am in two classes this summer, both of them will be extremly interesting but, I am bummed that I will be in a class room everyday during the week this summer. I am taking to courses, one for my major and one for my minor; Graphic Design 1- this will complete my Fine Arts minor and Ethnics in Media - just one more notch on the "major" belt.
Well guys, it looks as if the Bug is gone, may she rest in peace. It is like loosing a friend, I became so attached to that car. But, I couldn't have driven it for the rest of my life so I guess now is a better time than never, or atleast that is what I keep telling myself, I'm trying to stay positive here.
Also, I need your help! I am looking for a wedding planning book! My mom already has one...does anyone else see something wrong here? But, I need one to right down all my ideas and take snippets of articles and pictures that I have gathered inspiration from. J and I want our wedding to be really natural and warm. We have some ideas that could make it that way, but they could be a little pricy. But, we do have some really great music planned and fun food and cool cakes!
Tonight at BCM we are having a party that involves food and a slippin' slide! Your more than welcome to join us! Now, I'll leave you with one of my favorite songs, hopefully it will be on our wedding playlist, fingers crossed. Have a great day!

I could go for some of this right now.

Guys, its been a day. This car thing is very stressful. I think this is what I need right now. I pray for peace in my heart and understanding of the situation. The Lord is behind this minor situation...eventhough, it doesn't seem minor to me...in reality, it is; and He is going to take care of me. In the mean time, this sounds amazing! Here's a good "pick-me-up" listen (plus, I absoulutly adore this video, such a heart warmer.) and a great trailer. Have a great evening!

The perfect stress reliever.

Oh Geeze...

Hello everyone! These past couple of days have been a couple of days to remember. I went to see Josh this weekend, because I missed him, pretty simple reason. When I was driving through Missouri, I wrecked. It happened so fast and this is basically what I remember happening. There was construction on the road, no shoulder, my car drifted, hit gravel, spun around 3 times and backed into a ditch. What a ride?

Right after my wreck...I was disstressed.

It was the fastest sequence of moments in my life. I am so thankful for the Lord's protetion and Josh. Josh flew down from Columbia and picked me up. He took such good care of me; he got me medicine, some tea, and comforted me. I just love him! Anyway, I had an amazing weekend...really! Josh's parents met us for dinner at the Pear Tree, it was delicious. Then we had sometime to chill and relax, Josh got me medicine for my soreness and then we went to sleep. On Saturaday, some of Josh's family came over for a "Congratualatory (not sure on the spellng there) Lunch" followed by an evening of good food and Monsters vs. Aliens. (By the way, that movie was hilarious, or at least I though so.)

Our Congratulations Lunch, so nice.

We stopped at an over look on the way back to Little Rock, Josh was being a goof. Go figure. I love it.

Our shadows.

This weekend was a roughy. But, Josh made it amazing for me, I am blessed beyond my dreams. Check out this beautiful song by Missy Higgins, it's the live version, but I love it. Also, the greatest video I have seen in a long time, if you know me well enough, you know my love for my little, black, bug-eyed fish, Sir Lanchester Beauregard. So this video was the perfect thing to lift spirits, have a laugh, and know that there are other fish lovers out there. Even if they're only 3 or 4. Have a great day!

Happy Birthday Momma E!!

I am so excited for today, I love Earth Day! I hate that I will be inside most of the day working on a research paper. Yuck! It's such a beautiful day. I am so jealous, all my roomates are going to watch "Earth" in Imax tonight, I am pretty sure that "Earth" is play off of BBC's "Planet Earth". I have seen all of the "Planet Earth" episodes and "Earth" looks pretty much the same. But, regardless, I bet it will be spectacular. Did you know, that if you attend "Earth" at your local movie theatre today, a tree will be planted in your honor? Preatty neat huh?So in honor of Mother Earth I am wearing all environmentally friendly close today, I plan to eat all my meals with fresh produce, and spend more time on my bike. I usually ride my bike alot, but today, I want to ride it everywhere, so if I have to do go to Wal-Greens, I'll ride there. But, just in case I have to go the distance, my little car is pretty Earth friendly. I am so excited to spend some time out doors today, what do you plan to do for Earth Day! Get out there and celebrate her, the Lord defently made the most glorious planet of all for us to live on. Check out the trailer for Earth, I find it very moving and one of my favorite bands composed the song playing when the little bird jumps from the tree. It is very climatic.

Pretty.

Welcome back stress...I sure have missed you.

O goodness, it's crunch time everyone! I am so stressed and I have a fever blister to prove it. I have never had one, but there is a first time for everything. I am happy to report that I only have one BIG assignment left! Sadly, this assignment is a seven page research paper. Ugh! So tomorrow I will be in the Library's computer lab, third row, sixth computer; if your bored, please come by for a chat. Well, now starts finals time, I'll be up with my trusty thermocare full of warm coffee, good jams, and my favortite books in the world...text books. Speaking of jams, here are some good ones. One of my favorite artist Adele, she has a great voice, a great presence, and a cool style. Plus, this video is really creative and fun! I hope you enjoy it. I'll leave you with an exerpt from my favorite poem, it describes exactly what I wish I was doing instead of studying right now. Have a splendid Thursday!

"Birches" by Robert Frost
Earth's the right place for love:I don't know where it's likely to go better. I'd like to go by climbing a birch tree and climb black branches up a snow-white trunk toward heaven, till the tree could bear no more, but dipped its top and set me down again. That would be good both going and coming back. One could do worse than be a swinger of birches.

Wouldn't it be nice to be swing from these right now? Sounds fun to me.

Happy Monday!!!

Today...Oh...Today! I had every intention of waking up and going to the gym to run, it is a beautiful morning you know. Well, when I was making my daily dose of oatmeal, I turned on the T.V. and BAM!!! One of my favorite movies was on so...now, it is a quick blog, Metro Cafe, and running. In the mean time, I plan to do some research and finish up a presentation. Yesterday, I regestered at The Knot. It is a website for soon-to-be married people and it is full of helpful hints on planning your wedding. According to "The Knot" I am so far behind in wedding plans, that I might as well give up. Thank goodness, Josh and I already have ideas for our Save the Dates and music for our wedding. Whooo Hoooo! Oh, by the way, Our wedding will be January 9, 2010, if you don't have any plans, please join us. I guarantee good food, good music, and good chats. Did you know that on January 9, 1793 Jean Pierre Blanchard made the first balloon flight in North America? I think it's pretty cool. I hope everyone has a lovely Monday, here is a picture of Josh and I at one of my favorite places. The top of Pinnacle Mountain. So pretty.

Also, here are some tunes you could check if you want. One of my favorite songs by Ray LaMontage, check it out, here is "Shelter".

Pizza Rolls and Left Over Mac n Cheese

Hello! Here is a re-cap of the past couple of days. On Friday, I went and watched one of my favorite little guys play in his baseball game. Brock, was too cute...I mean...he was really tough and strong in his catching gear, it was so intimidating. I am an advid sign maker, so ofcourse when the occasion arises for a sign to be made you can count on me. This sign was a little sloppy for my taste, but I was so glad to wave it in the air for Brock.

What a good looking family! Karen, Brock (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Ben Maddox.

Today was filled with siminars, giggles, meeting new people, and fun all around. Today, BCM went to Impact 2009. I am so thrilled with all of the information I have been given. Great Info. Thanks IMPACT 09! ( I really need you to picture hearing this in an NWO announcers voice).

Well today is a rainy day, ofcourse; "April Showers Bring May Flowers". I love cuddling up with my big, furry blanket and watching my favorite movies. A good hot cup of tea and some cookies make it the perfect package for me. What is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day? If I had my choice of movies it would be these. My favorite.

My favorite movies! Here's Links to all the trailers! Pillow Talk, Bella, Casablanca, Peter Pan, The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian, Pride and Prejudice, Big Fish, and Twilight.

Have a great Sunday everyone! I hope the Lord blesses you!

Inspired by the Underdog

I'm so sorry about my lack of blogging. I have had zero time for recreational fun! But, I have had an amazing past few days! How about you? What have you been doing?nEaster weekend was a-maz-ing! My favorite holiday! Josh was so sweet, he called me on Easter and said:

Josh: Hey girlie!

Me: Hello! Happy Easter!

Josh: Happy Easter to you too! It's your favorite holiday!

Me: You remembered!

Josh: I always remember!

It seems very little, but things like this mean the world to me. Anyway, enough mushy gushy. On Friday, I spent most of the day cleaning and working at my appartment, before I left for Magnolia. When I got into town Dad, Mom, and I chatted for a little bit before hitting the hay. Saturday was another day of relaxing and that night I went and dyed eggs with a good ole' friend, Ahna. Follwed by more bonding with my best friend from high school, Julia. It was so lovely to be surrounded by old friends on my favorite holiday! Sunday was cold, wet, and yucky. But I enjoyed my Easter lucnch followed by my Easter nap like I always do. Sunday evening, I went to my parents church and enojoyed one of my favorite parts of worship. I love...LOVE choral music. The Sanuctuary Choir sang so many beautiful songs, the Lord moved in a magnificant way. It was such a blessing.

Yesterday, my dad called me to look at my sister's blog, which you can find here. On her blog was a video that I just fell in love with...it's a lady on "Britain's Got Talent". Now, this lady looks a little awkward and strange, not what you would expect for a serious contender for the title. But, she blew everyone away. Check it out here! Then, Josh told me about another underdog who won Britain's got talent by a land slide. His verson of Nessun Dorma moved me to tears. Beautiful. I'm always routing for the underdog, so, hats off to Susan Boyle and Paul Potts. Here are some pics from my easter weekend! Have a great day friends!
My Easter Eggs I dyed at Ahna's, I have become more fond of just dying the eggs a pretty color and leaving them plain. I do like the blue glitter one towards the bottom though.
My Easter Basket, or Easter Vase, My dad went for something a little different this year. I think it works!

My Wish List.

I hate doing laundry. My laundry basket is so big, this allows my clothes to just pile up and up. I am now working my way through 4 loads of laundry, I know its unbelieveable. You know what really blows me away? I have been able to make it, with plenty of clothes, and still have 4 loads of laundry to wash. I am angry with myself, that is ridiculous! Anways, I'm of my soap box, I have seen a lot of bloggers do a daily, weekly, and montly wish list. I think I will just stick to a montly, (that is, if I can remember to make a wish list every month). One of the fun things about making a wish list is that it is just that, a wish list. So here are a few of my wishes. What are some of your wishes?

Look at this glorius peice of technology. This is a BIG wish.

How fun is this little jewel? I'll never own one and I have made peace with that, but how fun is it to look at?
As I have said before, I hate laundry. This little beauty does some amazing tricks.

I love...LOVE...American Apparel T-Shirts. So comfy.

This is the best perfume I have smelt in a long time. It's fresh, femine, and light.

I have wanted one of the these for a long time. It is a Starbucks Venti Tumbler. It is double layered so your drinks stay cooler longer. Brilliant!

I will own a vespa. I have talked to Josh and it could be a possiblity...eventually.

Lefty Loosey

I am a Lefty. I have been a lefty my whole life. Not only do I write left handed, but I do everything with my left hand. I lead with the left side of my body, I usually turn towards the left, and I reach for things with my left hand. This is the burden I bare, ( Honestly, I consider it a quirky trait.) simple tasks have become an annoyance. Most can be fixed with an easy rotation of the object or adjusting it to my liking, but they are still a pain. Behold! I have found the cure for the lefty lumps! Lefty's in San Fransico is a store especially desinged for people who are completly, with out a doubt, left handed. I hope to visit this store soon. My favorite items are the left handed coffee mugs, left handed notebooks, the left handed oven mit, and the left handed watch! Supper Neat! Feel Free to check it out. Have a lovely Wednesday, it's beautiful out!

Lefty Watch, very cool.

Lefty Oven Mit.

Lefty Note Book, this is a brilliant.

This is my favorite, it is a coffee mug with a bunch of famous lefties. Whoopi Goldber, Marilyn Monroe, Helen Keller, Benjamin Franklin, and Kermit The Frog, just to name a few.

By the way, these items and more can be found on the Lefty's Website.

New Awleans

Oh how I love the city of New Awleans, it so beautiful. For spring break my BCM took a trip down to work with Habitat for Humanity, it was amazing! The culture in New Orleans is so warm and loving. My favorite thing about the city is that everyone calls you "baby", it makes for a really nice welcome. For example, when we were at a doughnut shop the lady said "What you want baby?" I absoulutly loved it. Here are some pictures from the trip and a few places to stop and eat. (you can't go to New Orleans without eating lots and lots of classic cajun food, it would be insane.) Have a lovely Tuesday!

The Punisher. Yes, I worked this saw for half a day by myself. Well, I was proud.

The top of the house we worked on, isn't the sky pretty?
Our whole group in the black, New Awleans mud.

On our way out for our last night in the city.

Brooke, making fun of me.

Places to eat:

Zeke's: Good times! Great food! Divine sweet potato fries!

II Tony's Resturant: Amazing food, bring your appetite! I would recomend the Crab Cake Po Boy and Potato Salad, the best I have ever had.

Great Coffee:

You can't go to the French Quarter without vising Cafe Du Monde! You must go, I recommend a Cafe O Lait and Biegnets. Heaven.

Also, Rue De La Course, amazing atomosphere, beautiful struture, simple lovely. My Rasberry Tea was delicious!

White shoes, white tights, and white hats

Oh Friends...what a day...what a day. I am so thankful to be back in my little cozy room. Josh and I have had such a busy weekend. But, it was so much fun! How was your weekend? I hope everyone had a blessed few days off. Friday, was the most perfect day of my life...I think every girl feels that way on that special day. With everything that happened Friday afternoon, I couldn't wait to get to southern Arkansas to see my parents. Josh was so sweet to drive, after driving a near 28 hours for the total weekend. After going to dinner and visiting a few friends, we flew, and I mean flew, to Magnolia. As a result of our criminal activity (speeding), Josh was pulled over and given a ticket. The little booger put a damper on our evening so we decided to hit the hay pretty quick after arriving. Saturday, Josh played in a basketball game against my dad's VSM team and today we went to church at First Baptist. Thankyou to everyone for your loving and warm congratulations, Josh and I felt so blessed. We finally made it back and Josh headed home (Missouri) about an hour ago. I am just too sad without him. But, eventhough I am sad, my favorite time of the year started today. It's EASTER everyone! My favorite holiday and time of the year. My dad is such a fun guy, to this day I still recieve an Easter basket. Everyone in my family (including my 30 year old brother -in-law) gets a fun little basket every year. I laugh sometimes when I think about my former easter outfits. I always wore my new pair of white shoes for the year, my new white tights, and my new dress. I am so thankful that the flat white hats with the elastic bands when out of fashion. I always remember those being so irritating. Anyway, I am still learning how to manage my blog. I just figured out how to use my blog reader, that was a moutain I finally conqured, and now I am working on making my layout really POP! Suggestions and advice are needed and wanted! Have a nice sunday evening! Here are some pictures of our weekend at home!

Josh and I decided to go for jump!

I like this picture, eventhough you can't see our faces.

Before the ride home, which we maintained the speed limit the whole way.

My bestie, Brooke, bought me my first Bridal magazine, I have already tabbed tons of stuff!

Hello Blogging World.

This is my first post as a blogger and I am so excited to write it! Greetings, my life has been especially interesting lately. Let me begin by telling everyone that I have been dating Josh Blackman for close to two years, and yesterday, April 3, 2009 he asked me to marry him. I said yes! We are so excited! Josh was very creative with his proposal. I have been talking about starting a blog for a very long time, (btw, the name of my blog and the style of my blog will most likely change often for the next few weeks, until I get it perfect.) and Josh created a blog that he wrote the sweetest message on. After I read the message, he talked to me for a few seconds then got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. He is so perfect! I love him dearly and am so excited to begin planning our wedding. I hope everyone sticks with me through this crazy process and welcome any help and suggestions, so feel free. Here is the link to "Josh's Blog" , feel free to go take a look. Have a good one1
